The European Parliament called on 17 December 2014 for an investigation on possible involvment of EU member states in CIA’s detention and interrogation programme which was uncovered following the publication of a report by the US Senate Select Committee on Intelligence (SSCI).

During the session, the European Commission also condemned the torture of Al-Qaeda suspects carried out by CIA operatives on EU soil in the fight against terrorism.
