Press Release: Statement by High Representative/Vice-President Federica Mogherini in support of final political agreement on Libya talks

European Union's High Representative for Foreign Policy Federica Mogherini welcomed on 9 October 2015 the United Nations' proposal for a national unity government in Libya.

Ms Mogherini considered the document 'an important step' and called on 'the Libyan parties to endorse this deal which meets the aspirations of the Libyan people, to take the path of peace and prosperity'.
