The European Parliament approved on 25 November 2014 a resolution which considered poverty eradication, fighting inequalities, human rights protection, health systems' sustainability and gender equality to be the key features the European Union should seek to include in the post-2015 global development agenda.

All the eurosceptic MEPs, together with the British conservatives, voted against this resolution.
