Press Release: Posting of workers directive

On 5 March 2014, the Permanent Representatives Committee (Coreper) approved a compromise text on an enforcement directive on the posting of workers directive 96/71, provisionally agreed between the Greek Presidency of the Council and the European Parliament.

The overall compromise agreement regards to administrative requirements and national control measures, subcontracting liability, identification of a genuine posting and prevention of abuse and circumvention, improved access to information, mutual assistance and cross-border enforcement of administrative fines and penalties.
