Press Release: Nobel Peace prize money to be given to projects that support children affected by war and conflicts / Statement by President Barroso on the Nobel Peace Prize

The European Commission has formally accepted the Nobel Peace prize money on behalf of the European Union in November 2012 and indicated that it intends to allocate the prize money to children affected by war and conflicts across the world. The prize will be collected in Oslo in December 2012.
