Press Release: Ninth meeting of the Cooperation Council between the European Union and the Republic of Uzbekistan Brussels, 14 September 2009

The Cooperation Council between the European Union (EU) and the Republic of Uzbekistan held its ninth meeting on Monday, 14 September 2009. The Cooperation Council reaffirmed the commitment of both parties to see their bilateral relations strengthen across a number of areas and took stock of the progress made in the implementation of the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the EU and the Republic of Uzbekistan and the EU Strategy for Central Asia, which provides the overall framework for EU-Uzbek relations.
