Press Release: Data protection package and NSA surveillance: “Europe needs a digital Bill of Rights”

On the 11 March 2014, the lack of progress in the Council towards agreeing on an EU data protection package in response to US surveillance of EU citizens, companies and governments was severely criticised by MEPs during the debate.
