On 31 May 2016 the Council of the European Union adopted its conclusions on enhancing integrity, transparency and good governance in major sport events in proposing several measures to implement these principles at national and European level during all stages of such events (feasibility, bidding, preparation, organisation, evaluation, legacy), including after their closure.
