During the Transport, Telecommunications and Energy Council meeting taking place in Brussels on 5 December 2013, the Council adopted a regulation establishing a Programme for the Environment and Climate Action (LIFE Programme) for the period 2014 - 2020. The LIFE Programme is the EU's financial instrument supporting environmental and climate action projects throughout the EU. It will contribute to sustainable development and to the achievement of the objectives and targets of the Europe 2020 Strategy, the 7th Union Environmental Action Programme and other relevant EU environment and climate strategies and plans. |
