On 13 May 2014, the Council of the European Union adopted the following conclusions: - The Agreement between the European Union and the People's Republic of China on Cooperation and Mutual Administrative Assistance in Customs Matters (CCMAAA). - The close customs cooperation developed by the EU and China since the entry into force of the CCMAAA on 1 April 2005, focusing on ensuring the smooth flow of legitimate trade, whilst at the same time stopping the traffic in illicit goods and other illegal trade activities in order to protect the security, safety and health of our citizens, increase the competitiveness of our industry and defend the financial interests of the EU. - The positive experiences from the EU-China Strategic Framework for Customs Cooperation 2010-2013, which has given more structure and coherence to this cooperation. - Council Decision of 14 April 2014 on the position to be adopted, on behalf of the European Union, in the EU-China Joint Customs Cooperation Committee regarding mutual recognition of the Authorised Economic Operator Programme in the European Union and the Measures on Classified Management of Enterprises Program in the People's Republic of China. |
