Press Release: Appointment of judges to the Court of Justice of the European Union

On the 24 September 2014 the representatives of the governments of the member states appointed Mr Constantinos Lycourgos (Cyprus) as judge to the Court of Justice of the European Union from 7 October 2014 for the remainder of the term of office of Mr George Arestis, which ends on 6 October 2018.

The representatives of member states' governments also reappointed Mr Koen Lenaerts (Belgium) and Ms Rosario Silva De Lapuerta (Spain) as judges to the Court of Justice of the European Union for a further six years from 7 October 2015 to 6 October 2021.
