Populist parties gain from uncertainty

Several of Europe’s fastest-growing populist parties were attempting to use the post-European Council, Brussels 8-9 December 2011 summit uncertainty to rally opposition to mainstream national leaders, complicating the European Union’s effort to solve the eurozone’s debt crisis.
