Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced on the 9 September 2014 he had submitted his resignation in order to take up his new role as European Council president in December 2014. He was followed by his Deputy Prime Minister, Elżbieta Bieńkowska, who became the Polish commissioner nominee. Ewa Kopacz, who was set to replace Donald Tusk as Poland’s prime minister, was scheduled to present her new government on the following week. Ewa Kopacz announced her new cabinet on the 19 September 2014. President Komorowski officially swore in the new cabinet under Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz on the 22 September 2014. Mrs Kopacz presented her government's agenda on the 1 October 2014. |
