Poland on collision course with Brussels over ‘illegal’ coal plant

EurActiv reported that Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) environmentalists were urging the European Commission in August 2013 to take rapid action to prevent Poland from building two huge new 900MW units at a coal plant, in violation of EU laws on Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
