On 29-30 November 2014, France’s far-right National Front annual congress tool place in Lyon.

The party re-elected its leader Marine Le Pen with a 100 percent mandate although she was the only candidate. It also confirmed closer ties with Russia (click here for more information), and Marine Le Pen’s 24-year-old niece Marion Marechal-Le Pen was voted onto the party’s central committee.
