Eurozone finance ministers remained far apart in the latest stage of negotiations on a banking union, held on the 14 October 2013 during a Eurozone finance ministers meeting.

Member states were discussing how to pay for the repair of their broken banks after health checks in 2014, which are expected to uncover problems that have festered since the financial crisis.
