Minister welcomes stability given until 2013 by the new CAP deal

Agreement over the Common Agricultural Policy health check in November 2008 has been hailed as providing stability and continuity for Welsh farming. Rural Affairs Minister Elin Jones said the negotiations that led to a deal had ensured that Wales could carry on calculating the Single Farm Payment on its present historic basis until 2013, enabling farmers to plan ahead with confidence about the size of their payment.
