A new code of conduct for Members of the European Parliament was unanimously endorsed by the Constitutional Affairs Committee of the EP on the 17 November 2011. The code sets out rules and principles which MEPs will need to follow in their contacts with outside interests, so as to avoid any conflict of interests.

The new code of conduct for MEPs was endorsed by a plenary session of the European Parliament on the 1 December 2011.
