Meeting: General Affairs Council, 16 February 2016

A meeting of the General Affairs Council was scheduled to take place on 16 February 2016, in Brussels. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Preparations for the European Council taking place on 18-19 February 2016, by discussing draft conclusions on the Eurozone's economic policy, the negotiations with the United Kingdom regarding its EU membership and the implementation of decision in the field of migration;

+ Preparations for the European Council taking place on 17-18 March 2016, examining the draft agenda focusing on migration and economic times;

+ Briefing on the state of play of the interinstitutional agreement on better law-making.
