A meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council took place on 12 October 2015 in Luxembourg. The following topics were discussed: + The latest developments in Syria, taking stock of recent evolutions on the ground. Ministers discussed how to further support the UN Special envoy Staffan de Mistura in his efforts to find a lasting solution to the Syrian crisis. The Council was expected to adopt conclusions. + Views on the external aspects of the migration policy. They followed up on the Eastern Mediterranean - Western Balkans route conference and on preparations for the Valletta Summit on migration. The Council was expected to adopt conclusions. + Partnership between the EU and the members of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) group of states. They discussed relations between the EU and the ACP post-2020. + Recent political developments in Libya. This follows the announcement by the UNSG Special Representative Bernardino Léon of the final package of the political agreement, on 8 October. |
