Meeting between US President Donald Trump, European Council and European Commission Presidents

The President of the European Council Donald Tusk and the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker met for the first time on 25 May 2017 with the President of the United States Donald Trump.

Following the meeting, Mr Tusk highlighted the importance of the relationship between the US and the EU to focus on their shared values. Media sources reported criticism from Mr Trump on Germany's trade surplus, expressed during the meeting with the EU leaders.
