Author: Philippe Perchoc Related information The editor, owner and two other people connected with the Turkish newspaper Sözcü were detained (or arrested) on the 18 May 2017 over alleged links to the US based Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen, which the Turkish authorities accused of masterminding the attempted July 2016 military coup.
