Article reports that Magna International stepped up its efforts to buy General Motors’ Opel subsidiary by offering GM a revised draft agreement over the terms of a deal on the 13 August 2009.

The Canadian car parts supplier, which wants to buy Opel with Russia’s Sberbank, is hoping to overcome GM’s concerns over use of its intellectual property and trump a rival bid from RHJ International, the Brussels-based industrial group.
