EUObserver reports that a Council of Europe report launched on the 16 December 2010 said that the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, is the head of a criminal gang involved in heroin trafficking and organ harvesting, accusing him of personally carrying out 'assassinations'.

The bombshell report cames just a few days after Mr Thaci claimed victory on the 13 December 2010 in Kosovo's first-ever parliamentary elections in a vote marred by allegations of fraud.
