Justice and Home Affairs Council, 13-14 October 2016

A meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council was held on 13-14 October 2016. The agenda included the following topics:

+ Discussion on the implementation of migration measures, with a focus on the state of play of relocation and resettlement, the situation in Italy and Greece and the implementation of the EU-Turkey statement;

+ Assessment on the implementation of the European Border and Coast Guard and brief review of IT measures related to border management;

+ Discussion on the reform of the Common European Asylum System, focusing on Eurodac, EASO related issues and resettlement framework;

+ State of play and the way forward on the regulation regarding the European public prosecutor's office and on the directive regarding the fight against fraud to the EU's financial interests by means of criminal law.
