Joint Statement on International Women’s Day

On 8 March 2016 and on the occasion of the International Women's Day, the European Commission released a joint statement in which they celebrated women, their role in society, at work, in their families and lives. The Commission also insisted on the fact that it should promote gender equality not just on this day, but every day.
