Jacques Delors: Euro was flawed from beginning

Report of an interview given by Jacques Delors, former European Commission President and key architect of the EU's single currency, with the Daily Telegraph, December 2011. Mr Mr Delors said that the eurozone debt crisis in 2011 stemmed not from the idea of a single currency itself, but from 'a fault in execution' by political leaders who oversaw its launch.
