Is the Ugly German Back? Flames of Hate Haunt a Nation

Features looking at refugee and asylum issues in Germany in July and August 2015.

Spiegel Online International reported that during the first six months of 2015, right-wing extremists in Germany committed attacks against places housing asylum-seekers on an almost daily basis. Many refugees living in the country fear for their lives.

Separately, Deutsche Welle, and other news sources, reported that more than 300,000 asylum seekers had registered in Germany since the start of 2015. The country's regional states had called for greater federal aid to cope with the influx.
