Hollande receives German opposition leader

Preview and reports of meeting on the 6 April 2013 of French President Francois Hollande and Germany's opposition leader and Chancellor candidate Peer Steinbrück.

The trip came six months ahead of Germany's general election and made publicly clear that President Hollande was hoping for a Social Democrat win so that the eurozone's response to the euro crisis - so far shaped by Chancellor Angela Merkel would chnage.
