Greeceā€™s prime minister George Papandreou dismissed speculation on the 13 January 2010 the country could be forced out of the eurozone or made to seek assistance from the International Monetary Fund to rescue its battered economy.

The Greek Finance Ministry was due on the 14 January 2010 to unveil a three-year stability plan aimed at reducing the budget deficit from 12.7% to less than 3% of GDP.
