Germany proposes measures against benefit abuse by EU citizens

The German government proposed measures on the 27 August 2014 to prevent EU citizens from misusing its social-welfare system. But alleged abuse of social benefits by migrants remains low overall, according to Berlin's own assessment in a report called 'Legal issues and challenges in the field of social security claims by nationals of the EU Member States'.
