General Affairs Council, 13 December 2016

A meeting of the General Affairs Council was held on 13 December 2016. The agenda includes the following topics:

+ Preparation for the European Council summit taking place on 15 December by discussing its draft conclusions;

+ Discussion on the 2016 enlargement package presented by the European Commission;

+ Adoption of conclusions on Enlargement and the Stabilisation and Association Process;

+ Briefing on the state of play of the mid-term review of the multi-annual financial framework 2014-2020;

+ Endorsement of a joint declaration of the Council, the European Parliament and the Commission setting out the EU's main priorities for the forthcoming year;

+ Information on the Annual Growth Package for 2017 which launched the European Semester.
