France to hold jobs summit as unemployment hits 12-year high

President Sarkozy of France convened a jobs summit of trade unions and business for the 18 January 2012 in response to rising unemployment and evidence that the French public wanting the candidates in theb April 2012 presidential election to focus their energies on maintaining jobs.
