A meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council took place in Brussels on 20 July 2015. The following topics were discussed: + Iran The Council discussed the situation in Iran and the relations with the European Union, taking into account the agreement on Iran's nuclear programme reached on 14 July 2015. + Libya The Council took stock of recent developments in the UN-facilitated political dialogue between the Libyan parties. Ministers discussed what more the EU could do to ensure support and ownership of the peace plan. + Tunisia Ministers focused on the latest events in Tunisia, namely the terrorist attack in Sousse on 26 June 2015, which came after the attack to the Bardo Museum on 18 March 2015. They debated how to increase EU support on security and socio-economic development. + Middle East peace process The Council also discussed the Middle East peace process and what the EU could do to improve the situation. |
