The Centre Party under its leader Juha Sipila won the largest percentage of the vote in the general election on the 19 April 2015 in Finland, beating the governing National Coalition Party of Prime Minister Alexander Stubb. The right-wing, anti-immigration and eurosceptic Finns Party also performed well, and might become part of an eventual coalition government of the Centre Party. On the 7 May 2015 it was announced that the Centre Party's Juha Sipila had announced plans to form a coalition with the Finns party. |
