Fifteen die in clashes over disputed Nagorno-Karabakh

The BBC and other news sources reported in August 2014 the worst clashes in years over the disputed Armenian enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh in Azerbaijan.

The European Union called on the conflicting parties in Nagorno-Karabakh, the subject of an unresolved dispute between Azerbaijan and Armenia, to observe a ceasefire on the 3 August 2014.

The OSCE Minsk Group also expressed deep concern about developments at the Line of Contact and Armenian-Azerbaijani border, and called for immediate action to defuse tensions.
