Facebook reveals global government data snooping requests

The social media network Facebook issued its first Global Government Requests Report on the 27 August 2013. EurActiv reported that the report said that the combined requests by EU member states for information from Facebook in the first six months of 2013 amounted to roughly two-thirds the number of US requests.
