Experts slam EU’s ‘fractured’ research policy

The European Commission established the European Research Area Board (ERAB) in 2008 as the new consultative body responsible for advising the EU on the realisation of the European Research Area (ERA).

ERAB presented its first annual report 'Preparing Europe for a New Renaissance - A Strategic View of the European Research Area' in October 2009. As a vision paper it painted a picture, in broad strokes, of where the European Research Area needs to go by 2030.
