The 2016 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest was held in Stockholm, Sweden on 10, 12 and 14 May. 42 countries took part in the contest.

Ukraine’s Jamala, the first Crimean Tatar ever to perform at a Eurovision Song Contest, was the winner of Eurovision 2016. The message brought by the winning song was subject to intense discussion.
