Europe feels heat from gas stand-off

Reports of the commercial dispute between Ukraine and Russia relating to gas supply, January 2009 - and the impact that reduced supplies of gas being supplied by Gazprom to Ukraine has on other European countries who receive gas from Russia supplied by pipelines through Ukraine.

Ambassadors from EU Member States met on the 5 January 2009 under of the Czech EU Presidency to develop a common response.
