A meeting with the Eurogroup finance ministers took place on 7 December 2015, in Brussels. The agenda included the following topics: + Briefing on the work of the Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) and presentation of the first SSM annual report on supervisory activities. This should include the results of the comprehensive assessment for 9 banks - which were published in November 2015 - as well as the SSM's legal and methodological framework and key policy challenges for 2016; + Discussion on the implementation of Greece's adjustment programme, namely on what the second set of milestones is concerned; + Presentation by the European Commission, the European Central Bank (ECB) and the International Monetary Fund (IMFD) on the fourth post-programme surveillance mission to Ireland, which took place in November 2015; + Thematic discussion on the Euro area's pension systems and their implications on fiscal sustainability; + Discussion and adoption of the Eurogroup's work programme for the first half of 2016. |
