EurActiv published an article in July 2015 - originally released by Tagesspiegel - regarding the new regulation on Eurodac, the European Union's fingerprint database.

According to the text, the German Institute for Human Rights criticising the decision to repurpose this database for registering EU asylum seekers. The new regulation on Eurodac, was scheduled to take effect on 20 July 2015.
