In a letter sent to the European Union's High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini, 16 member states called in April 2015 for products made by Israeli settlers to be marked in shops. This would allow citizens to boycott these products if they wished to.

The statement followed a similar one addressed to Catherine Ashton, Ms Mogherini's predecessor, in 2013.
