	Preview and reports of the European Council, Brussels, 4 February 2011. This was the first meeting of the European Council that was supposed to be mainly devoted to energy and innovation matters. Concerning energy, the European Council discussed key options for achieving a safe, secure, sustainable and affordable energy, on the basis of the Commission communications on Energy 2020 and on infrastructure priorities for 2020 and beyond.
