At their 17th summit in Brussels on 29 June 2015, China and the European Union agreed to strengthen relations by seeking to boost mutual investment and increasing efforts to reach a global climate deal later this year. On his first visit to the EU institutions, Premier Li Keqiang also promised that China would contribute to the EU’s new infrastructure fund. The EU and China are major trading partners, but their relations have been complicated by China’s track-record on human rights as well as issues related to competition and currency policies. This note offers links to recent commentaries, studies and reports from major international think tanks on the relations between China and the EU. Written by Marcin Grajewski. |
