Eighth meeting of the Stabilisation and Association Council between Albania and the EU

On the 8 September 2016, the Stabilisation and Association Council between the European Union and Albania held its 8th meeting. According to the European Commission report 2015 on Albania, it was concluded that the country made significant progress towards meeting the political criteria for membership. Albania also took important steps to combat the corruption and organised crime, as well as on the protection of human rights.
