Dutch take soft approach to Serbia war crimes case

EUObserver reports that the Dutch foreign ministry declined in May 2011 to explicitly rule out giving Serbia EU candidate status without first handing over top war crimes fugitives to the international tribunal in The Hague. The Netherlands has in the past insisted on first seeing the fugitives in the dock.
