Donald Tusk urges Parliament to accept European PNR

The President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, asked members of the European Parliament (EP) to reconsider their position on the creation of a single, shared data base of personal information on air passengers arriving in, or leaving, the EU.

The call was made during a speech at the EP on 12 January 2015, days after deadly terrorist attacks took place in Paris [click here to find more information on these attacks].

European Commission's vice-president Frans Timmermans told the media on 21 January 2015 the EC would be willing to rework the stalled PNR bill.
