Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, considered in an interview with The Guardian on 15 March 2014 that UK's Prime Minister David Cameron’s quest to secure a new deal for his country in the European Union by reopening its treaties was virtually 'mission impossible'.

While Mr Tusk was open to help David Cameron in reforming some aspects of the EU, he was also skeptical on the prospects of changing any treaty.
