The European Parliament's committee of inquiry into Emission Measurements in the Automotive Sector (EMIS) held on 13 July 2016 further hearings relating to the investigation they are developing as a result of the Dieselgate scandal. Members of the committee were also scheduled to vote on an interim report containing draft conclusions on this topic. On 30 August, a new meeting of the EMIS commitee heard the former Commissioner for enterprise and industry Günter Verheugen. The commitee had its constituent meeting in March 2016. |
